OWWA Releases Advisory regarding how to properly address complaint for OWWA Personnel

We in government are governed by the provisions of Republic Act No. 6713 otherwise Known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees and we uphold the principle of accountabilitiy to the people that we serve.

We observe that the socia media has been used as a platfom by the public to convey
nessages to the undersigned , including complaints against the personnel of OWWA, both locally and overseas.

While we appreciate the vigilance of the public in reporting alleged misdemeanor
of some OWWA personnel, prudence dictates the need to adhere to the principle of due process to ensure that the subject of the complaint/s is accorded fair and just treatment under existing civil
service laws and regulations.

Allegations of wrongdoing of our personnel, without factual bases, put at stake the credibility and integrity of the institution which the men and women of OWWA painstakingly build
throughout these years

The Agency remains steadfast in its mandate of protecting the welfare and promoting the interest of our overseas Filipino workers, thus, if there are issues involving our personnel’s work ethics, the public may oficially report these tO us for us to effect the appropriate action.

Concerned individuals are advised to provide the following to enable us to address the concerns regarding our personnel and/or the programs and services of OWA:

  1. Full name and address of complainant;
  2. Full name of the person complained and his/her country of assignment;
  3. A narration of the relevant material facts which demonstrates the acts of omissions allegedly committed by the OWWA employee; and
  4. copies of documentary evidence/s and affidavits of his/her witnesses, if any

The complaint must be in writing and under oath and must be addressed to the
